WWE & Marijuana Rules Emplacement

WWE stars that have been warned about marijuana use have turned to another release.

WWE MARIJUANA POLICY

From November 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008, WWE ran a series of random drug tests on the wrestlers. During that time period, WWE encountered 41 failed drug tests where a performer has tested positive for marijuana.

With WWE trying to show the public that they're a responsible company, management has gotten more serious about marijuana use. The company does not suspend performers who test positive for marijuana use. However, they do fine the performers a $1,000 for each infraction.

WWE still does not suspend or release wrestlers who use marijuana, but they have been punishing them in other ways. Brian Kendrick (pictured above) lost his singles push because he failed the marijuana test several times.

Since the wrestlers are now taking management's threat more seriously, they've turned to heavy drinking and painkillers instead. WWE does not have an official policy on alcohol, and painkillers are still allowed as long as the wrestlers have a prescription for it.
