Addressing the Jeff Hardy "Hit and Run"

Currently, WWE are working a storyline with Jeff Hardy being involved in a Hit-and-Run accident.

From WWE.com:

WWE Champion Jeff Hardy and his girlfriend Beth were involved in a hit and run automobile accident earlier this morning in North Carolina. Both Jeff and Beth were injured during the accident, but no ambulance was called to the scene.

Stay tuned to WWE.com as more information becomes available.

To The Xtreme

First of all, to the people who believe that this is real - its not.

It's a work by WWE.

How can you tell? Well first of all, the "girlfriend" portrayed in the video is an actress. Jeff Hardy's real life girlfriend / fiance has never been shown on WWE TV.

Who dunnit?

The main question right now is "Who hit Jeff Hardy?". Fans have tossed up ideas, even to go as far as to say that it wasn't a work - it was the Iron Sheik drunk at the wheel.

This has been proven false.

Christian Return

The main person being labeled to be the driver is none other than Christian(aka Christian Cage).

Rumours started flying late last year, when Christian had not resigned with TNA, but was re-thinking of signing with WWE.

The WWE is being crafty in trying to resign Christian. They have already rehired his old bodyguard, Tyson Tomko, in hopes of bringing him back.

This current storyline would work perfectly for Christian.

Edge could proclaim that he did indeed mastermind the attack on Jeff Hardy, stating that he "could only trust an old, close friend to carry out this attack".

What would work even better, is to have the old "security camera footage" begin to play, and show the car that rammed Jeff Hardy off the road, pull into the arena carpark. Edge could then exit the vechicle and proclaim how successful the duo was in their attack.

The driver could then exit the vehicle, wearing a sparkly hooded vest and state that he did the attack "for all his peeps".

Edge would then state something along the lines of "The Rated R Peeps".

The hooded man would then agree and the two would walk off-screen.

Sibling Rivalry

Another alternative is to have Matt Hardy as the driver.

This would set up a gigantic feud, starting off with Matt stating that he sent his brother "a wake up call", and that he should start acting like a champion and stop living in this "Xtreme lifestyle fantasy".

This would work extremely well for WWE, and would re-ignite the sibling rivalry that the Hardyz once had.

Jeff could constantly interfere in Matt's ECW Championship matches, causing him to eventually lose the belt. Jeff would then proclaim that Matt has lost his focus, and his mind. Matt would retaliate in the most horrific way possible.

By joining forces with Edge.

Edge could say that Matt has been a brilliant opponent, but an even better ally. The two could state that they've disagreed on numerous things in the past, but they both agree on one thing.

Jeff is a joke.

Rated R for Road Rage

The most anti-climatic way for this storyline to take off, would be to have Edge as the driver.

It would be the most default option that the WWE could come up with.

Vickie would complain and whine as to not knowing the whereabouts of Edge, claiming that she was going to enter him into the Rumble, but can't locate him.

Edge would then appear on the titantron, standing in-front of a semi-destroyed vehicle.

Edge would state that he did indeed try and ram Jeff Hardy off the road.

He would then launch an attack at both the Hardyz, noting that they are both unworthy champions.

Edge could then attack Vickie, stating that she should have done something about Jeff's Championship - or that Edge should have a 2nd chance for a championship match.

Final thoughts

Here's hoping to the return of Christian!
