Christian, CHRISTIAN! - At last, you're back in the WWE!
CAPTAIN CHARISMA RETURNS [RECAP OF ECW]
It seemed like another boring episode of ECW - Oh, how we were so foolish to think so!
Jack Swagger comes to the ring and he has his title belt with him. He is going to address the crowd. Jack says that we saw how he was victimized and embarrassed over the last two weeks. He says that the General Manager forces him to defend his title against Finlay. He says that it is unfair because he is the victim. Jack says that he will take care of Finlay at No Way Out. He will take care of the real problem and he will take care of it tonight. Swagger calls out Hornswoggle.
Christian comes out to the ring. Jack wants to know what Christian is doing. Christian says that he is interrupting Jack’s promo. Christian says that he is out here to save Jack’s life. Christian tells Jack that he might electrocute himself with the mic during his speech. Christian comments on Jack’s speech pattern. Christian says that it has been a long time since his peeps have seen him. Christian says that he came to ECW
Jack asks if Christian is finished and Jack says that Christian will be facing him. Jack says that Christian couldn’t hack it so he is coming back. Jack points out that he is a two time All-American and became the ECW champion in four months. He also says that he is a wrestling prodigy. He tells Christian to think twice before making a name for himself at Jack’s expense. Jack says that Christian is no threat to him.
Christian punches Jack with the mic and then he leaves the ring.
Third match of the night shows Christian going up against Jack Swagger.
With an assist from Finlay, Christian scores a win.
WHAT NOW FOR THE PEEPLES CHAMPION?
With Christian back on the WWE roster, a lot more interesting storylines have opened up.
Sure, Finlay / Jack Swagger wouldn't be my first choice -- but its a start, and a surprise.
If at No Way Out, Christian does indeed win the ECW Championship, then a quick replacement for Matt Hardy has been found.
This could then, end up working for the WWE Pay-Per-View entitled "Night of Champions"
Various backstage segements could happen, where Christian reunites with Edge, much to Edge's dis-pleasure.
Christian could say that Edge "still steals his championships" (referring to the King of the Ring tournament, that originally began the split in the Edge & Christian tag team).
Edge could then stare at the ECW title, then look at Christian and say "Still a B Grade wrestler"
A brawl would then errupt between the two.
FINAL THOUGHT
I'm so glad Christian has finally returned!
Would have been better if it WASN'T on ECW
But, as I said, its a start.

Oh god, don't even get me started on how badly they fucked this up.
ReplyDeleteChristian left WWE in the first place because he was the most over guy in the company but wasn't getting pushed. Now he comes back to the smallest fanfare for a returning big name that I've ever seen. And those retard announcers react like it's about as exciting as watching a game of lawn bowls.
That was a huge let-down of a return. No impact whatsoever. When John Cena comes back from an injury, they let him win the Rumble. Jericho's Save.Us.222 segments were wicked. Remember when Goldberg interrupted the Rock Appreciation Ceremony? Or Carlito winning the US Title on his first night on Smackdown, and winning the IC on his first night of Raw? That's impact. Christian interrupts a promo of some newbie mid-carder that nobody gives a hoot about, and the announcers fall asleep.
Sucks so hard. I stopped paying close attention to wrestling when Christian left WWE. I'm an enormous fan. If they had made his comeback even remotely interesting, they could have had me watching full-time again. I'm not.
